the guy's company basically takes people's home vhs tapes into dvd's for them and just does the same for LSU games on the side. Not sure if it is exactly legal, but I'm not complaining. The quality is standard definition but no they're not grainy like they would be on a recorded VHS tape; they aren't HD if that's what you're wondering.

Thanks for the info. I figured they wouldn't be hi-def, but I'm relieved that they won't be especially grainy. I'm looking forward to getting several of these.
