From the earlier post it appears he has been banned.
If he was really banned just for posting too much, this should be immediately over turned.
His posts annoyed me some times and that picture of nicholson annoyed me more than any avatar but the one for Rex.
Having said that, we have few enough regular movie board posters. We don't need to lose them. Especially for just posting too many threads.
Now, if he did something else that is another matter, but otherwise

Good lord, are you even on the movie board often. I any given day it only has about 1 to 2 pages total.
Pretty much any amount of posts are helpful to keep it interesting over here.
And how hard is that statement to understand? I would rather someone trying too hard than someone being a constant a-hole.

well i just got out of banned camp personally but this is the board i lurked the most and i am for the most part a regular poster here.

Yeah, the "Vs." threads got old, but they're no worse than the current "tournament" trend.
Dan's not a bad guy, but I'm not sure I believe he was banned for posting to much. I'd like to think that doesn't happen except in extreme circumstances, and he wasn't posting THAT much. I'm thinking there's more to the story.

Well then you know this board only get one or two pages of posts a day so it is not like Dan was filling 14 posts all in one page.
And as I said, plenty of his posts annoyed me, but not ban level annoyance.
I just think some of the admins abuse the hammer. I almost got whacked for simply repeating what Larry Johnson said during the NFL season.

I don't think the admin really need to let everyone know every time someone gets banned. There are rules to the site, if you break them, you're likely to be warned or banned.
Do you think your boss owes you an explanation when they fire someone?
