Pelini. And here is why: when he coached in the SEC, HE was the actual defensive coordinator, unlike Muschamp who was saban's co-coordinator. He is doing a fine job at ut but again, that ain't the SEC. Also, Pelini has the HC experience card, I get real nervous about hiring "up & coming" coordinators WITHOUT HC experience. The SEC is just too tough a gig for on the job training. I respect Muschamp & I think he has the potential to be a great HC but if Coach Miles left tomorrow & those were my two choices as of today, then I'd go with Pelini.

I can agree with most of that but Richt was hired as just an OC at Georgia and he has done well...I would take pelini because he was the one that kept the dicipline going and the guys looked up to him...wanted to be like him...thats important...I think the same with Muschamp...Pelini is just a few years ahead of him...both great football minds...I still think much of the reason miles was successful early was because of pelini..

Id still take Patterson or Harbough over both of them though...Harbough turned friggin stanford around...thats an accomplishment...
