No - the 3rd and Chavis is statistically born out over his years at Tenn. And it was borne out again this year. It's not all/always bad but it is what it is.

We conveniently excuse it on poor DL play. But if our DL was air-dropped into TCU or Tuscaloosa (I respect Saban's approach to D but there's no love loss for him), we would all be amazed at how much better they were playing. Again - ain't so much talent as it is approach.

I couldn't care less how much UGA offered him. I would be surprised if those playing the best D in CFB would even consider him for DC.

Les is ok with either Bo or Chief (even though their styles are so different) because IMO Les has no vision of what kind of team he wants to field.

You have no ideal what you are talking about if you beleive that. In NINE of Chavis 14 years at UT he had a top three defense statistically.

In 97 his defense held opposing offenses to something like 230YPG and was one of the stingiest in the country.

Then in 98 his defense was the MAIN reason UT won a national title with a 'TMartin' led Offense.

He won The AOTY award in '06 and his defense held LSU's most potent offense ever to one TD in the 07 SECCG.

His Career record says he is one of the best and the 3rd and Chavis crap is made up RANT paranoia.
