So Locker at QB for LSU = LSU worse than W/ JJ.

Ben Roethliseburger had a higher passer rating than Peyton Manning last year. I guess what I'm try to say is that you're an idiot.

big ben threw for 26td/11int 4300yds. he might not be as good as peyton, but hes no slouch either.
and where did i say that JJ is better than JL(Locker)? i just threw those stats out to show that his numbers are comparable.
posters here make it as if JJ is absolute garbage.

Not garbage but he is not good enough to be the starting QB at LSU. Stats are like a string bikini; what they reveal is interesting. What they cover up is essential.
Jefferson had LaFell, Toliver and Randle (among others). Have you ever heard of Jermaine Kearse, Devin Aguilar or James Johnson? Locker's Huskies were outmanned talent wise in most of their games; other than perhaps Florida, we were never at a talent disadvantage.
Locker also threw a lot more passes--about 100 more. Do you think if JJ had to throw more than 20 times a game and actually had to throw the ball downfield his completion percentage might go down a tad? Of course it would.
JJ is good at one thing: he doesn't throw picks. JJ detractors should not dismiss this completely. However, a prime reason is that JJ doesn't take ANY chances. Not any. He never tries to make a play with his arm. And while that does prevent turnovers, it also results in an offensive chock full of NFL players and ranks them 112th in total offense.
So post your pointless passer efficiency rating all you want. JJ did not win a single game in 2009 where the competition was as good or better talent wise. JJ could not move the offense. The same is not true for Jake Locker. There is not a single LSU fan (including yourself if you are honest) who would not trade Jefferson for Locker right now. Not one. If Jake Locker is our QB, we're a top 5 team. With Jefferson, we're between 15-20th.
Simple as that.
End of thread.
