So take your condescending bullshite and shove it down your throat. You don't know everything, and you're not as smart and cool as you think you are.

I have no respect for posters who garner the sympathy of fellow board members by rehashing personal tragedies and then building their arguments around sentiments of pity. In fact, I think they’re idiots.

Why do alumni chapters exist? Why does UF have an alumni section in the Swamp? Why do people put alumni plates on their cars? We all know the answers to these questions – pride, ownership, etc. We all know there is a difference between those who attended a specific university and those who did not. It’s much like going to a restaurant or renting a car for the weekend – same mentality. It’s not yours – why would you care if you dirty the table, drop food on the floor or ding the car door in the parking lot? You’re getting up and leaving the restaurant shortly anyway or returning that rental Monday morning, “who cares?” But, when you truly care for something it’s because it has value and meaning for you personally. So, when I say LSU alumni are better fans than those that never attended LSU, I mean exactly that; because we’re not just supporting a jersey number or a 290 lbs. D-lineman or a guy from Lafayette that hits for the cycle -- We're supporting everything that is LSU outside of sports as well. We’re supporting the institution which supported us for so many years. And when we do watch LSU play, we’re supporting “our” fellow alumni.

Ask me again…….Do I consider myself a better fan and supporter of LSU than someone who never attended the university? You’re damn right I do! Because my donations to the EJ Ourso College of Business are more important and satisfying to me than my donations to TAF. Because I want “our” Flagship to thrive, both on and off the field, and my children and my children’s children to experience; as I did, the greatness that is Louisiana State University.
