Just started watching it on HBO. I saw last weeks episode(guessing it's episode 1 of season 2) and a few minutes of tonight's.
Can someone give me a quick rundown on the premise of the show. I'm completely lost right now, all I know is that it's about vampires. Need to know the good guys/bad guys and are Vampires out in the open? or are they still a myth and only a few people know about them etc.?
and should I watch Season 1, or do I need to before proceeding with the rest of Season 2?

Well, if you had watched season one, you wouldn't be asking so many questions. Basically, Vampires have come out of the shadows because they can now live on synthetic blood. Some really want to mainstream and live a regular life. Some don't.

small town in N. La.
People on here always get bent out of shape about the geography.
In season 1 a bunch of people are killed in Bon Temps and the season is basically spent trying to figure out who the killer is. Like someone said the vampires are out because of TruBlood which is synthetic (even has different blood types) although many vampires still feed. Vampires are pushing for rights as well.
You really should watch season 1...after the pilot episode the actors get somewhat better. For some fricking reason unbeknownst to me it is one of my favorite shows....the acting is terrible, the story has about a million holes in it, and its corny as frick...but I keep eagerly anticipating the next episode

Is this a satire of Tiger Ryno's performance in the Lost threads?
