UVA sets baseball

Attendance record at homefield this weekend. 3,513. I thought it was funny

Damn. I thought Alabama's crowd was sparse this weekend, with neither game against Vanderbilt drawing more than 4,500.

Actual or sold attendance. LSU's attendance for sold tickets last weekend was well over 10,000 every game. Actual was around 6-7,000.

I also like to see college baseball do well, but if that's their attendance record, and for the #1 team in the country, it's pretty sad.

I used to live in Charlottesville 5-6 years ago and back then they were lucky to have 1,500 people there. Granted they were no where near the #1 team in the country. Glad to see all the lawyers up their attending more than basketball, football, and lacrosse games.

That in the grand scheme of things the country doesn't give a shite about college baseball .. the WNBA and women's hoops tourney triple it in ratings .. There are probably 38 states you could go to right now that have NO clue who won the NC in baseball last year .. you should applaud attendance like that at Virginia .. not taunt it .. that's fricking ignorant ..

I still consider baseball our national pasttime and it isn't all about attendance figures. It's about the game that's been around for such a long. Anyone who has to throw curse words in every sentence can't be very bright.
