faulk was fricking electric; we sucked my jr & sr year but IMO it was worth it to watch that guy run.

Ever wonder if Faneca would have stayed and Faulk left early?

One of the better coaches on his staff, Hal Hunter.

If "D" had managed to keep his original staff intact, he still might be here. Things started to fall apart when Ron Case (DB coach) left to be on Mack Browns staff at North Carolina, then DC Carl Reese went to Texas. Enter Lou Tepper as DC/LB coach and Ed Cullen to coach DL. All downhill from there. There was also some kind of offensive fiasco with a combination WR/QB coach and NO offensive coordinator. Stubborn "D" refused to replace the incompetents and the rest is history.

Miles better hope that his "DiNardo like" decision to keep Crowton/Stud on the staff
(Or Alleva's refusal to eat contract buyout's) doesn't come back to bite them on the arse.
At least he brought in Gonzales and Wilson, which coaching/teaching wise should be great improvements .......
