Why did Shane Ardoin transfer from LSU to ULaMo?

I thought I recognized the name but LSU fans around me said it wasn't the same guy. It is and why did he leave LSU?

He wasn't going to play very much last year so he was given the option to leave. Didn't have much velocity and when you're that kind of a pitcher you have to perfect either location or have a true out pitch and he had neither.

Shane is a good friend of mine, we graduated high school together. The deal with Shane was that he was recruited by Smoke Laval. He played a year under Coach Paul but he was released from the team after his sophomore season. He then transferred to ULM. Shane was a pitcher for LSU. I believe he is pitching and playing right field for ULM.

Not sure. Haven't spoke to him in a while. What I was told was that he was dismissed. This could be because he sat out a year due to arm troubles. He had arm troubles that hindered his velocity. Shane was recruited for his "curve-ball". He had a nasty off speed, but nothing special on his fast ball.
