As for the OP's question, I would have to think that it is a very high possibility that Ben teaches at the school. Was David wearing a uniform? If he was I'm pretty sure the students at Ben's school had no dress code.

No. He was wearing a blazer from a private prep school. None of the kids that John was teaching had uniforms on.

Yeah forgot about the uniform. I was just thinking since it is apparent that the writers are trying to make everyone as connected as possible, that it was probably likely.
