Has anyone tries this place out yet? It's on 190 in Covington where the R&O's was for that short while I believe. Wondering if it is good authentic Mexican or the same old shite you get everywhere else.

I was wondering the same thing and saw some postings about it on the nola.com forums. There were numerous posts saying that it was horrible. I'll wait to hear more about it and if there is an improvement in the food before I try it.

Not good. Very limited menu. Service is slow and horrible. And even the parking is terrible.

Los Somberos at the end of Hwy 21 in Covington is pretty good if you have a chance to go there. (It's the building that used to be a castle.)

Sounds like a no to me then. Thanks.

Also used to be a gas station.

Is it authentic or just the same as Carretta's, Mi Mamacita, Casa Garcia, etc?

Not authentic, but really good. Prolly some of the best "American Mexican" you can find IMO.
