but they are studying for exams, bad weather and the student section is in such a bad location.
Just wait 'till SEC play starts. THEN the students will be there in full force.
It's like the current students are in training to be tomorrow's bandwagon / fair weather fans, who set in the yellow seats in Tiger Stadium, and leave before half time, or only go to the Box for the regionals.
Or maybe the students are just a reflection of the bandwagoners.
Piss poor showing by the students today. I actually thought there were a decent amount of us "regular" fans there today.

Looked terrible on tv. LSU had fantastic support in the 80s. Wish we were a better basketball school fanwise.

lack of fan support today had to do with baseball game and a lot of greek events going on today. would have been a lot more people if not for these things

I don't get why people are so concerned about basketball attendance this year. Quite frankly, the basketball team sucks and people have alot of other things to be doing. Most people I know, including myself, have tons of tests next week . Not to mention that it's our defending national champion baseball teams opening weekend. Today was the first home game I've missed since Christmas break and will probably be at the rest of them.

i saw a lot of students tailgating for the baseball game. sorry but too nice of a day to spend it in the pmac. We did have the radio going, but it was time to walk to the stadium at about the 5 minute mark. We will be back next year.

I was one of the students that came out and supported our team!!

I still support my team even if there is a baseball game going on @ 5!
I say just go to both, like i did.

They would have.
But there was a lot of stuff going on. And the out of conference schedule isn't very good, but it'll be better during the SEC. And the team isn't very good. And they were studying for finals. And all of the 30000+ students went home for the holidays. And it's right near Mardi Gras. And the baseball team was playing a glorified high school team. And spring break is coming up. And it's a really nice day. And...
Between a (relatively) new coach, and one of the greatest Tigers ever finishing out his career, there should be WAY more people at the PMAC, students and general public alike.

So when the team is horrible this year, why do students catch more shite for not going to games than the regular 1970s LSU dropout that's sitting on his arse at home, not at the game either? Sorry, I'd rather stay at home and watch a movie, or go play basketball myself then go watch another losing effort. If you don't like it, then donate some more money to TAF and fix the problem.

Agreed. Maniacs try to pull off this "at least we go to the game" bullshite and then come up with tons of excuses when this embarrassment happens.

thats ok. Suffering through some of those seasons we went through made the Final 4 20x's sweeter for the fans who stuck through it. When they hoist that crystal basketball it'll be nuts
