More Xbox Problems...HELP!!

Ok I have replaced my disc drive on my Xbox 360 with an exact model of the old one and it goes to a screen that says "Insert disc to play". The dashboard comes up fine but games wont play. Any suggestions??? Thanks!

Did you take the circuit board off the old drive and solder in place of the new one?

When you put a disc in and close the tray tap on top of the 360 where the tray would be until it reads the disc and plays.

The new disc drive plays DVDs but not games...ugh!!

You have to do this, or you need to get the key off the other drive, and flash the old firmware on to the new drive.
