4. LSU vs. North Carolina (Atlanta), Sept. 4: We’ll find out soon enough if LSU has improved any on offense. The Tigers open the season in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game against a North Carolina defense that’s fast, talented and nasty.

quote:

6. West Virginia at LSU, Sept. 25: The Mountainers will have to plug in a new starter at quarterback, but the core of the offense and defense returns. This is a team that could easily win the Big East title in 2010.

quote:

Noting: LSU is the only SEC team to have two games on this list, and they're both the first month of the season.

Could be germans, just thought it was interesting. Bored at work.

After this, I don't want to hear any crap about our OOC schedule. Ever.

Like the fact LSU is playing tougher non conference teams. We should have one good BCS OOC team each year on the schedule.

Pretty nice games in that line up. Our big one is Clemson this year, but we should be playing UCLA in the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Classic as well. We can thank Jay Jacobs for screwing that one up.

I think all SEC teams should have at least one marquee OOC game against a BCS school.

Why? Win your conference and you got a NC guaranteed. The media is up the SEC's arse, no point playing tough OOC opponents...

As an LSU fan, I thought you'd be more than aware why. In 2007, the Virginia Tech win helped LSU in numerous ways if I recall correctly.

One being, V-tech was the team behind LSU in getting in from what I remember. IF LSU doesn't play V-tech, then V-tech likely has a non BCS team on their schedule and goes to the National Title game with 1 loss.

So 2 years of finally scheduling OOC from a BCS conference make up for every other year. So if LSU goes back to putting 4 other crappy teams (Tulane/ULM/ULL/LA Tech) you would be ok with it?

UNC and WVU will be tough games. Add that to 8 SEC games and you've got a legit schedule in every way.

The WV game will be a tougher game, even if it is at home.

Hopefully LSU can win one out of the two so they can have a decent year.

Dont be suprised if LSU wins both.

JJ was still raw at QB last season. I think he will develop more as a passer in the off-season and will become one of the top-2 QBs in the SEC. (#1= Ryan Mallett)

I think that LSU will have an excellent year and will have a good chance at the NC game.

I would be. Maybe LM pulls it out with a few trick plays.

Beating a top team should be fist on your list.
