I understand the state deal with Benson included 85 million for Superdome renovations this year. Anyone know exactly what it is they are renovating ?

They are going to be completed prior to the 2012 season, in time for the 2013 Super Bowl.
They include widening of the concourses - specifically covering the open areas behind the sideline bleachers and making that a wide open concourse - as well as installing new seats. I believe the improvements witll slightly increase capacity also.

There will be new video boards, a new area with an open air restaurant, a bunch of new vendors (so long Dome dogs 
) and somehow adding more seats. I have no idea how it will be done but that's some of the shite they threw out last year.

They are connecting 4 seats to the sky cam so lucky fans can hoover above the field during the games zipping around like a carnival ride. Okay thats not true...that I know of, but would be bad arse.
