Dear frick-Sticks,
Let me update ya'll on some things.
In 2005 there was this storm called Katrina. It hit a city called New Orleans. Many people died and it was the worst natural disaster in American history. The city's football team came very close to packing up and moving to another city, taking with them the very last shreds of hope from the tens of thousands of people in the city who had lost everything in the storm. The football team decided to stay in New Orleans. They hired a coach named Sean Payton. He hired a Quarterback named Drew Brees. They started winning football games and people in the city had hope again. Then, in 2009, they made it to a really big football game called "The Superbowl". It was the first time the team had ever won enough games to make it this far. Everybody in the city was happy again. People smiled and hugged each other for weeks. The team's success provided hope and inspiration to millions of people who were still downtrodden from the storm back in 2005 that took the lives of many sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, aunts and uncles.
But hey, if ya'll want to ignore this story and talk about whether or not that quarterback in Minnesota is gonna retire or about how if the Colts lose the Superbowl it will be their own fault, not because they lost to a superior football team, ya'll go right ahead.
We're used to you ignoring us. We know we're poor and backwards. We know you think we talk funny and you think we are ignorant. We know we have a colorful past down here and that you look down your nose at ALL of us because of the actions of a small, sorry FEW.
No, really, keep it up. Don't give us the time of day. We embrace the underdog role. It's why we are usually superior to YOU in many aspects of life; including sports, politics, and the arts.
Have a great day.

I read some of it.
FWIW, Micheal Irvin, on NFL Network covering the ProBowl stated that the media, including the network he worked for, did a piss poor job of covering the Saints. He said it over and over. He apologized for ignoring the impact that this is having on the city and the team. I think the media has starting covering them for a fair amount now. Not sure if what he said did it, but its happening.

I think the Pro Bowl numbers helped with Saints coverage as well. New Orleans area had the highest viewership in the world for the pro bowl.
The media realizes that people in New Orleans do own TVs and didn't shoot them after the NFCCG

whoa...slow down there. LA doesn't have the most shining political track record.
How long is this board going to collectively complain about the lack of media attention? I think it is time to get over it...that's just my opinion though.
