While I completely agree with almost all of your post, I would say that DiNardo did more heavy lifting at LSU than Saban. Dinardo took the program from nothing to a program that would fire a coach after two losing seasons. Saban used Dinardo's recruits to establish a base to build upon.

You make a good point. DiNardo certainly did a lot to wake up the sleeping giant. He just couldn't take LSU beyond a certain level.

Just as Arnsparger did with Stovall's RS group, yet no one ever gives them the credit
