I agree...Les would be criticized no matter what he did in this situation:
1) Sign Russ and Wing: can you imagine the heaping tidal wave of negativity if Les signed two Ks in this class?
2) Sign Russ and not Wing: can you imagine how pissed off some people would be if Les let a guy who was punting the ball 45 yards on a consistent basis get taken out of Baton Rouge right under his nose?
3) Sign Wing and not Russ: Russ is a great K and Les let him go.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario.

Sorry for the stupid question.
But is that the same kid who was committed to Arkansas?

Sounds logical, since kicks come from down under.

That kid could kick. He will be very very good in college.

Evangel has been good to Texas over the years. I expect them to get Rasco next year as well.

I heard their head coach hated LSU after how they treated John David Booty.

I will take Wing. BTW I hear Wing may get a shot at Starting at punter next year. The staff is high on this kid.

If LSU didnt offer me I would sure as hell pick UT over Hogtown. Not a hard decision

How? JDB graduated a year early and left for USC. He left early because his dad got canned. How is LSU responsible for this situation?

Thursday night there were reports out of Shreveport that kicker William Russ had decommitted to Arkansas and committed to Texas. Russ has a different story, but Arkansas isn't out of the woods yet. Come inside to find out what Russ has to say about the latest developments with his recruitment.
He was going to Arkansas and now Texas. Rather a good kicker be in Texas than Arkansas. I am happy with the kicker we have coming in.
