Meyer will call him tomorrow and tell him god told him he should come to uf and he will switch back.

There it is. That class will slowly fall apart. UF will benefit little from this class. All will opt to go pro ASAP.

Without knowing the math off hand I'd say UF has the highest attrition rate of any SEC team under Meyer...

You may be right - this happened once before last month and that guy is back in the fold.

Attrition has a negative connotation to it - implies a loss/erosion of the quality(in the case of recruits/players).
Nowadays star players leave earlier no matter which school they are in, Meyer manages to reload each time though.
So there is no greater loss in quality than the time it takes for the recruits to come up to speed which in florida's case has been no more than a year (or two maximum.)
I would love for us to have those kind of losses followed by similar classes.

Perhaps, but there will be very little experience on that UF team.

OMG Glenn Guilbeau will now have to write about Florida football in decline. I wonder if Guilbeau will report that Wright chose an offer from LSU over Alabama.

Satan may sneak in and take him to Alabama.

LSU is way ahead of UF during the past 5 seasons under Miles and Meyer respectively. LSU has basically lost half of 3 classes from 2005 through 2007 under Miles.
No other school will come close to that and that's not even including players leaving early for the draft.

I know from their 06 class with tebow about 5 guys lasted a year.
They've had a tremendous number of transfers and guys booted. I'm gonna work the numbers this week.

Dorsey is a HUGE loss to their class IMO. He was one of the most impressive guys in any of the All American bowls.

He's fast as shite
And surprisingly a very good cornerback. You would think with his speed, everyone wouldn't look as hard at his other attributes, but he has great ball-hawking skills. Would be a great safety

Probably most telling...in 2006 we signed 6 OL; none of them ever played a down at LSU.
Its not all Stud's fault.

I agree. And that was some serious shite.

The coaches didn't have much to do with it.
the players couldn't keep up their grades or stay out of trouble.

I realize that students have to make the effort but that seems like a large number of players from one concentrated area. Is this a common area for issues in other schools as well?
Was it just an anomaly that we whiffed on them altogether that year?
Is there where the school (non-football dept) dropped the ball? I mean we are supposed to have tutors, GAs etc... whose only job is in the Academic Center to help these Student Athletes.
