They handled a physical Cards DL who is good at reestablishing the line of scrimmage. They didn't even get close to Drew. The Vikes' DL will definately be a bigger challenge. I think this is the key to the game because there will be openings in Vikes' secondary.

about the vikings D-LINE

meh...a bunch of no-names...in fact you hardly hear anything at all on the pregame breakdown about the vikes D-line.

I really don't think there's anything to worry about. Reggie and Pierre are going to have the Williams wall running around all over the place.

It's not the first active D-line they've seen this year, so they should be ready to go. I'm looking for another big day by Reggie. If they get all nutty with blitzes, or if their linemen get too aggressive Bush should be all set up for a swing or screen.

3 pro bowlers on the o-line? I think we will be fine.

Worried? - yes

BUT, there are several things working FOR us in this match-up.

1. Bress is one of the least sacked QB's in the league. Attributed to the OL, his quick release, and decision making, all that helps.
2. The Vikes run a 4-3, which we have handles well all year. The only game that was a problem was the Cowboys game, and their 3-4.
3. 3 Pro Bowlers on the line helps.
4. SP will scheme away their pass rush, as much as the game situation allows.

Happened to be listening to Stephen A. Smith talking to a guy about playoffs(can't recall who it was). In the course of talking about the Vikes d-line, the guy said that Kevin Williams has a burst bursa sack in his knee. Anyone else hear this?

it is their strength, so of course people are worried.

but in that road breakdown thread it was interesting to see that the vikings dline success was mostly at home, when the visiting team had to deal with crowd noise. that puts the oline at a disadvantage.

the vikings dline numbers are not nearly as impressive on the road.
