this is gonna be the most overlooked part of the game going into the NFC championship. They will talk about how dreadful the Cards D is and rightly so, but will forget we held a very good offense to 14 points.
14points : Remember 7 of which came on the first play of the game due to overpursuit.
The other 7 came on a drive in which we had an INT and the most idiotic call in football (Fingerprints on a QB)

I believe watching film of our DEFENSE over the last 5 weeks of the regular season is USELESS.... ITS A DIFFERENT DEFENSE...
MAN BLITZING was very limited without GREER and even moreso without GREER and PORTER
My only concern is the running game (if an opposing team makes a committment to the running game) We did shut them down after that first play! Offenses know they have to score points and they get away from it quickly. But our pass D is special

Whoever we play will be a great game.. I just hope that we play like we did last night..

ANOTHER THING YOUR OVER LOOKING IS THE RUNNING GAME HIGHTOWER HAD 87 YARDS TOTAL BUT 70 CAME ON ONE RUN SO WE HELD HIM IF YOU WANT TO LOK AT IT TOO 17 YARDS THE REST OF THE GAME

I agree, My concern centers around a committed running team. Its tough to do against us b/c our Offense is normally putting up points BUT we basically played a half of Running Defense after that it was effectively over(at least from a rushing perspective)
I think we are not bad at hiding an average Run defense b/c we change up looks and bring run blitzes and play situational football where we sell out on obvious running plays BUT its still a concern. We will be fine. We will be in the SUPERBOWL however its something the coaching staff has to really focus on if we get DALLAS again...

If you think the Cowboys win that REMATCH your crazy!
1)Dallas played their best game
2) Saints plyayed 3 Very bad Quarters
3) Greer was out! Shockey was out!
4) Motivation FACTOR!
5) Reggie Bush will light them up like in 06
6) Payton has been game planning for that rematch for about 3-4 weeks
7) Saints will likely be a homefield/#1seed DOG
8)We actually gameplan for WARE.
9) Extra day of rest and haven't made a 1000 mile trip within the week
10) This is our year GO HOME ROMO!

I agree that the barely touching a QB rule had to be changed, but that was a facemask after he hit his head. Not to mention they didn't call one earlier in the game when we almost ripped Kurt's helmet off, so I'm not too worried about that one.

I am sitting here watching ESPN (yeah i know) rave about the IND defense.... IND shut down Ravens high powered offense...
