So with Dooley leaving is there any chance this rivalry gets back on track? if Tech can just admit their not better than ULM and actually play them, than it will workout great for both university's in IMO

What's a shame is that the greatest thread in the history of this site, which is on this very topic, has had the shite anchored out of it.

No shite. The very first thing I thought of when I heard the news yesterday (after clearing tears of laughter out of my eyes), was xiv's thread and the Tech 'Tards hanging their hopes on Dooley.

Nope.
Right. Tech would rather brag about their attendance average being somewhere around 20k than win football games.

Tech's a bunch of pussies.

I'm just saying that it wasn't Jim Oakes fault, it wasn't Jack Bicknell's fault, and it wasn't Derek Dooley's fault. There are powerful people who hate ULM and do not want this game played.

If you and your buddies would support ULM football games and get off the LSU bandwagon, it would go a long way in getting the game scheduled. Is it worth it?

You're actually blaming ULM fans for the series' cancellation?

More Tech delusion...

The lack of fans. There is no interest in ULM. That benefits Tech. Why would Tech want to help revive interest in ULM?

More Tech delusion. You actually believe that an annual game with Tech would hold ULM's athletic department together. Hate to break it to you, but nobody gives a frick about Tech, either.

I just want to see a traditional rivalry not ruined by pussies in Ruston.

ULM football > Tech football

Because I want rivalries to continue. There's no reason to cancel a great regional rivalry because one school thinks it's a lot prettier than it really is.

All of 'em should play. Simply no reason why they shouldn't.
