You have nooooo idea how often have this conversation. Since i live in TN everyone i know is a Vols fan. And i argue this point all the time that it wasnt the fact that he didnt go to LSU, it was how he went about not going to LSU. I went with a few friends to the Tennessee and Kentucky game and we met some of the players and he was one. I just said " So why did you make it seem like you were going to LSU for soooo long then go to UT at the last second?" and he says " this is just where i thought i could get the best opportunity and be the best player" and i just kind of looked at him and said ...bullshite..in fact i think i have it recorded haha.

ok. so i get that a lot of us follow recruiting and such, but keep in mind these are 18 year old athletes who have a once in a lifetime chance to decide where they want to play. unless they slapped your momma or had an affair with your wife, why do you give a flip if he didn't go to LSU? what does he/they owe you for not choosing to play at LSU? what's the fascination?

Its not that he went to Tenn. Its the way he and Kiffen went about it. He waits until signing day to change his committ and then releases a statement that he new weeks before he would switch but Kiffen told him not to say anything until signing day. They basically gave LSU no chance to pursue another big time S. Seems underhanded if you ask me and this just seems poetic.

Hope he enjoys playing for Monte Kiffen this year because that was the reason he said he went to UT. Nevermind.
