To honestly think we would contend the past 2 seasons for the SEC West and go to the SECCG is unrealistic. Do we have coaching issues? Yes but you have to give the coach a chance to correct the problems. If we look the same at the end of next season, then yeah, some changes need to take place.

But our coaches did not lose the bowl game and especially not on the last possession.

Hindsight is always 20/20. Prior to the start of the last 2 seasons, talent and expectations were sky-high. Nobody at LSU had any idea this mack truck of terrible coaching was going to pancake us. LM was always a bit suspect, but in his first years at LSU, it now appears he did benefit from the residual culture of excellence which was the Saban legacy. LM COULD NOT MAINTAIN IT. And it all fell apart in the 2008 season, first defensively. Then cane the 2009 offensive meltdown. Coaching issues can be corrected in a heartbeat. LM did nothing until after the season died, while Malveto ran the team into the ground in 08. Chavis came and helped, but then LM did nothing while Crowton's offensive brand of wizardry ran the team into the ground this year. I have zero confidence in LM's ability to identify the problem, and then to do anything to correct it in any given season. I am at a loss as to how it would take multiple seasons to correct "coaching issues" on the assistant level.

Dude, if our offense looks like it has the past two years, and we finish with 4 or 5 losses, which could be more given our schedule is more difficult, then the whole coaching staff should start looking for work elsewhere. I think LSU would go the Arkansas/Nutt route. Negotiate a buyout with Les for him to leave.
