My sources tell me that other coaches are using media outlets such as ESPN, WBRZ, Eagle 98.1 as well as LA newspapers to negatively recruit against Miles and LSU. It's true. My sources say that it has currently cost us the state's top recruit as well as many others.
Apparently, these coaches are showing recruits ESPN highlights of the Ole Miss debacle and how ESPN bashed Les for an entire week. They even printed out tons of Glenn Guilbeau articles and played recordings of 98.1 postgame shows, all being critical of Miles. They have the nerve to show kids clips of interviews with Les in which he is unintelligable and are unflattering to say the least. They are asking kids if they want to play "for that guy." This is killing recruiting and needs to be stopped.
The national and local media outlets need to realize that when they criticize poor LSU play/coaching and give coverage to some boneheaded actions by Les Miles, it hurts LSU recruiting. We don't need these recruits knowing the truth about LSU coaches. Let's all make an effort to inform the media that they should only speak about Les & Crowton in a positive light.
(The purpose of this post is to mock a guy that just posted a manifesto about how coaches are using TD.com to negatively recruit against LSU. The thread must have just been deleted. The original poster claimed inside info from 4 recruits that said they are not considering LSU any more b/c other coaches printed out TD.com posts that were negative about LSU.)

When does the media speak about anything in the positive light well unless your Obama, USC, Tebow, Urban Meyer

Welcome to the world of major college recruiting.
No surprise.
Other things being said are:
Meyer will never coach again at UF.
Kiffin will be put on probation by NCAA
Saban is leaving Tuscaloosa after he wins a championship.

Maybe Miles should quit acting like an incompetent on and off the field.
If he did, the issue would not exist.
Frankly, I think he could care less about his job and LSU. We have paid him enough so he is financially able to retire.

i'm sorry, but, being quiet about it as you say, is like pretending it's not happening. I am not bashing coach Miles, I will support him as long as he is at LSU. But results are the best measuring stick you can have. The players this year have to shoulder the blame for alot of the problems that happened: countless dropped balls, poor decisions at qb, and wrong routes being run constantly. Coaches on the sidelines are more knowledgeable than many of us rant coaches will ever be. Of course there are some you couldn't convince, because they are always right. why not just stop, stop hating for just a little while and support your tigers no matter. Lets trust Joe Alleva has some wisdom in how to handle the situation should the need arise. Until then:

This stuff is easy to prevent. All LM has to do is:
-manage the clock correctly
-put a well prepared team on the field
-don't lose to lesser talented teams due to being out coached
-don't call a time out on change of possession
-use 5-star recruits that were the best in the nation when they signed
-don't get manhandled at the los by La Tech
-stop giving pre, post, and during game interviews or practice a lot before the interview
