Crapital One Bowl

Was the most frustrating bowl I have ever watched the Tigers play. Terrible field conditions (yes it worked against our strength...speed), there are high schools who do a better job of maintaining their turf.
Horrible officials (couldn't figure out what down they were on and the ludicrous personal foul on Hitt). I hope LSU never goes there again. Plus, LSU hasn't won a day bowl game in a long time.
Don't think the above statement is an attempt to exonerate the coaching staff. To lose to a team from the Big 10 with considerably lesser talent is a travesty to LSU. Crowton needs to go!

Seriously I have played in much better cow pastures!! When we got to the game there was several inches of standing water on the turf! The bands then slogged thru the muddy crap and got it good and churned up! After teams warmed up and at half time a crew went out and replaced the displaced turf and stomped it! The LSU band was mashing down the turf at half time to find a place to stand and play!!!
It was not a football field at all, more like a pig sty. No excuse in the world with today's turf management to have a field in this shape for a major bowl game.

i think they decided to install an artificial field, unfortunately it took a shitty showing on national television to get it. playing 8 games their before the cap one bowl should have been enough for them to get it sooner. regardless of rain or not that field would have looked like shite, the rain just magnified it 100x. its a shame both teams had to play on it because we didn't get to see each team play to their full potential.

The Capital One bowl is replacing the field with field turf - those plans were in the works before this years game.
The Capital One bowl can't be held responsible for the officials.
As long as they fix it I hope LSU gets to go back - I have a feeling we will be celebrating the next time we get to go there.

Was a joke of a Field. Damnit I think the Independence Bowl had a better turf to play on. It was a bad showing on behalf of the Capitol One Bowl Folks. It should be a warning to other teams next year.

It was frustrating in that PSU gave LSU every chance to win this game. LSU declined.

Pretty sure the Saints & Colts wouldn't want to play their playoffs in those kinds of crappy field conditions.

A good old football game would have been just a mud bath, not a mud bath whit chuncks of sod laying on top of the mud. I don't know how it looked on TV, but at the game it was horrible.

Big 10 is .500 against SEC this decade overall

Penn State out manned LSU, out muscled LSU, and played better than LSU. Quit making excuses and suck it up, pathetic.

Not if they have 2 bowl games that close together amid that much rain and cold

Horrible officials
Went both ways, they were bad to both teams
