The SEC West in 2010

if Ryan Mallett comes back next year, I think we will be picked to finish 3rd in the West behind Bama and Arky. Bama of course will be the favorite since they'll return everybody sans McClain, Cody, and Arenas.
My early guess is...
1. Bama
2. Arky
3. LSU
4. OM
5. AU
6. MSU

We could finish this way
1. LSU
2. Bama
3. Arky
4. Ole Miss
5. Auburn
6. Miss St.

Are those your predictions of the finish, or predictions of the predictions at the start of the year?

yep
I could also see LSU being picked 2nd. Either LSU or Arky.

kind of both, that's my general early feel
LSU goes to Little Rock at the end of the year next season as well, so that also made me give the Hogs a very slight edge.

LSU shakes off the rust of the past two seasons with an experienced QB for the first time in 3 years / new coaches to bring enthusiasm and change.

Unfortunately we still have the rust that is Les Miles.

Agree LSU 3rd in the west with another 9-3 "Miles like" season.

meh...
Saban is long due for a 3 loss season.
Nutt is rarely good for anything better than 3 losses.
While he has been good, Petrino hasn't shown anything yet to be scared of him.
Mullen is still getting players.
Chizik hasn't shown anything either.

Bama does have a tough schedule next year, they go to Fayetteville and Baton Rouge, and UF rotates onto the schedule next year.

That game in Baton Rouge will be the SEC game of the year, with the winner being the SEC West Champ. Will be one helluva game.
I'll say we can win IF and ONLY IF we can stop the run, which i am still very skeptical about at this point, with all of the young guys that are needed to step up.

Bama falls in Death Valley next year.

I think we improve by leaps and bounds next year.
Experienced QB, D's 2nd year in Chavis' system, new offensive coaches, Miles and Crowton know their seat is getting hot, Bama at home (this game will once again decide the West). Looking forward to a great season.

Is it physically impossible for some of you to type anything positive about the team without bashing Miles? Just wondering...
1. LSU or Bama
2. Arky
3. Auburn
4. Ole Miss
5. Miss State

Don't make any Atlanta plans any time soon unless its for Chik-Fil-A Bowls.

Saban is long due for a 3 loss season.
1. Bama - They return the majority of their offense. McElroy, Ingram/Richardson, Julio/Maze, and a solid line. They do lose a lot on D, but if Saban can get a unit on the team ready to play quickest, it's the D. Their schedule does get tougher, but I think they beat us and thus win the West.
2/3 - 100% depends on Mallett. They could barely be a bowl team without him, or they could win 9 games if he returns. LSU's schedule is hard as frick, but beating a Mallett-less Arkansas team would be enough to put us at #2.

They lose far more than that on defense. They'll have pretty much an entirely different defense next year. I don't think it will be as good.. but it'll be stout regardless.
