What is your version?

What would you like and not like to see?

How can we improve?

I would like to see Death Valley, Death Valley once again! I would like to see the fans that go to the games in Death Valley take each games as it is played like in the old days when hardly anyone left before the outcome of the game was in hand. This will make Death Valley like it used to be and how it got it's name and it will once again make it the most feared Stadium to play in in all of College Football. In the old days the fans came to the Stadium to stay until it was over no matter who they played and they where on their feet just about the whole game. The students especially where on their feet the whole game. This I know is impossible because of the attitudes of the people that are so-called LSU Fans which are only bad-wagon Fans, as long as they are winning and ranked in the top ten they will stay if they are playing Florida, Bama or some out of conference team that is highly ranked and they are winning the game. Also the majority of the Fans that have the tickets have the attitude of give me something to yell about before I will will yell and support my team. That is why Death Vakkey is no longer Death Valley and any team, I MEAM ANY TEAM, that comes into Death Valley is fearful and they also know that all they have to do is score a TD and Death Valley will loose it's Death hold on them.

I laugh every time I see a post that even thinks Death Valley is feared by any team and also the polls who ask's to rank the Stadium that is the most feared of all to play in by the visiting team. I think Death Valley is becoming the most feared Stadium to play in by it's own team and that is a shame and disgrace. All this negativeity started when Russell Erxleben the punter and kicker in the early 80's and also Tommy Hodson and Mickey Guidrey and also and I'm sure there where a few more back then. But this was when all the booing of the players started and it has gotten worse since then. I believe the only players that should be booed in Death Valley is the visiting players not ours and that in and of itself will help to bring the Death Valley as the graveyard it used to be back. And then the students start being the enthusiastic maniacs they used to be when the visiting players stepped onto the field just to warm up and it built from there all the way through the game. I have said enough and I know there are those that are going to shoot holes through all that I have said but I feel that it is the truth and sometimes the truth hurts. JMHO and I welcome yours! Less white collar fans who dont give a shite about LSU football, that just go bc their company gives them free tickets, that are too pussified to get drunk and scream at the top of their lungs, that leave halfway through the game

What I am saying is the fans can go along way in helping the team play a lot harder when they know that they have the support of it's fans. I know all these things that you mention are very important but all I am saying is I see all these posters on here get upset when Tiger Stadium is mentioned as one of if not the toughest place to play and I have to laugh when they are part of the problem also. That is all I am saying, I agree with you 100% on what you said also!

What old days are you referring to? Did you go to any games in the 90's? That place was like a graveyard sometimes as far as attendance goes. But I will give you one thing. The half empty Death Valley of 15 years ago was roudier than a full Tiger Stadium the past couple of years IMO.

You hit the nail on the head. Death Valley is shell of what it used to be. The almighty dollar forced a lot of people that brought a unique "flavor" to the atmosphere. I think my Saints season tickets are cheaper than LSU season tickets. Considering where I sit in the Dome, I would hate to see what my "donation" amount would be for LSU tickets.

we need to increase our donations and money spent on research. i most definately would like to not only see us maintain our Tier One status but to move up the ladder. Our endowment is woefully low compared to other Tier oners. I hope LSU graduates will embrace that need and donate more to LSU. football will take care of itself.

No, I am talking about the Death Valley of the sixties, seventies and eighties those where the years that made Death Valley into Death Valley. This is the problem fans think the stadium is the team but it is not it is stadium but it is more than that it is the fans themselves that is the stadium. When you watch a game on TV and say boy, I wish Tiger Stadium was like that! Well it used to be like that but, the fans have taken it away. Yes the product on the field will make it even better, but it also takes the fans to help that team on the field make Tiger Stadium Death Valley and when the fans understand that then we will see Death Valley be Death Valley once again and it will be the fans from around College football watch us on TV saying boy, I wish that was us. We can do it, but not until we as fans start supporting and back our team the way the teams fans in their stasiums back theirs.

It is the fans that make the Stadium Death Valley!

Also it goes along with the team on the field!

But we as fans have to do our part then you will see a different team on the field.

No. Its not just LSU, its everywhere. My point is that the intimidating atmosphere is not what it used to be. I guess that is the tradeoff
