Any news recently on our chances with him?

Also, any chance/hope left with LaDarius Owens?

Thanks in advance.

Well good. Hopefully that will translate to a commit. Thanks for the reply.

From a recent article:

quote:

Smith’s commitment should help UT as it tries to land his teammate: 6-5, 225-pound defensive end Corey Lemonier.

However, Lemonier has never seemed quite as enamored with the Vols as Smith. “I don’t know what he’s thinking right now,” Smith said. “The last time I talked to him . . . he told me he liked some other schools: Auburn and LSU.

But I really don’t know what Corey is going to do. “I’ll try to sell Tennessee to him. That’s the best place for both of us.”

Sounds like both LSU and Auburn are at the top of Lemonier's list.

On Owens, I guess there is always a slight chance for LSU, but I think his commitment to AU is VERY solid.

With Hardwick Decommiting we now have 3 spots.

But I don't see one of those being for Owens

What the hell is so special about Auburn---they are not even in the top 5 SEC schools.

Owen is a double-dip legacy recruit to Auburn, doubt we over-come those factors.

Obviously, looking at Auburn's improvement in recruiting, Chizik and his staff are doing something right.

IMO, it's all about the coaches. They've taken an interesting approach to recruiting by really pushing "family." This approach makes a lot of recruits feel like they have a second family at AU and it helps bring good kids into the football program.

If he wants on board one of those spots is absolutely for him.

Ladarius' uncle, James Owens, was the first African American scholarship football player at Auburn.

Question to add to this thread: Better chances, Lemonier or Ferguson?

Ferguson, but I believe both want to commit NSD so it will be first come first serve.

Grissom and Jones are being considered as well.
