It is a thread questioning whether or not we are on a decline. I say we are. What say you?
this year was an improvement over last year, IMO. The past few recruiting classes have been strong...so at this point, I would say it's no worse than at steady state. But there are several issues with the program that have to be fixed if we are going to get back to championship level, and it remains to be seen if that will happen. I would say the program is in a similar state as when Miles took over, the problem is, Bama has gone on a meteoric rise...so fans see this as a decline at LSU.
Personally I would replace Miles today if I could guarantee the new coach could put LSU on the same level as Bama and Fl are this year. But I don't simply want someone who is "better than Miles", for the sake of replacing Miles. And the last thing we want is a panic situation and end up with another Bill Callahan situation.

quote:This is true- Saban's success is as much to blame with out discontent in Tiger land with Miles, and this will really grow if by some chance Bama does win the BCS. Bama was not suppose to be as good this year w/ new QB, but look what happended. Meyer has been incredible @ Floria, but w/ Tebow gone next year, they may become more ripe for upsets in the future, we will see...
