I know it's early but UL-L is one of the worst teams in the country. They lost to McNeese and an NAIA school. Every UL-L fan I know here in Laffy Land wants their coach fired. Will we win an SEC game this year? Anyone know our point total average on offense so far? Like I said...I know it's early but tonight looked like a high school game for a while. Not in Baskeball mode yet but I hope some improvement is in the future or this could be a really long season.

LSU will be fine in the SEC, its no better than last year. Its decent OOC games that will hurt. Every one knew it would be a down year.

ULL was horrible last year and LSU only beat them by 2 points. LSU is playing with 8 scholarship players and only six of them are ready to compete in the SEC. IF Storm or Tasmin goes down, the season could be the worst in recent memory. If they stay healthy, they could possibly win 6-8 games in SEC play. Thankfully there is a ton of help on the way next year!

Eddie Ludwig is a liability on offense AND defense

the west hasnt gotten any tougher IMO, no guaranteed loses

its the east that is going to be the beast, with Kentucky obviously resurging, Tenn still good and a young Florida team

Thanks Stromile...I was hoping you would respond. I've seen them a few times this year and it seems offensively they are really struggling. I like the fact they out-rebounded the Cajuns by a fairly large margin and hit the free throws down the stretch. Man, I hope these new recruits coming in next year can get the program competitive in 2011 and beyond. Just going to write this year off and wish for the best.

I've seen some flashes of good things with Dotson and Ludwig. Too bad we were too thin to let them redshirt as TJ wanted.

the only thing ludwig brings to the table is hustle...dotson has played good D b/c he's an good athlete but is a liability on the offensive end...green is just a disappointment all around...harris has been as expected IMO

storm is a beast...taz is a beast...bo is a beast...but you gotta have more than 3 players and 5 crapshoots to win in the SEC

now if we had malcolm white this year...shite we'd be a legit team...i'm pumped as hell to see white and warren next year...best frontcourt in the SEC IMO

I've accepted the fact that this could be a rough year. I was really hoping that guys like Dotson and Green could make a significant impact. I'm still holding out some hope that TJ can coach these guys up in the next six weeks. Fortunately, the SEC doesn't look as strong as once thought.

Oh, I agree.

I'm just thinking year in and year out, UGA sucks balls. But I definitely think we can take down any other team in the West, with Ole Miss being probably the toughest this year.

Don't take too much in close wins in OOC with Johnson's teams thus far. I mean hell last year we barely beat Centenary and other directional schools. The SEC West is quite sporadic so far this season. Mississippi State was overrated to start the season, Ole Miss has been decent and Arkansas and the two Alabama schools are poor. If anything we should be able to compete in all games. We have a glass jaw with our terrible depth. I just hope that we can stay injury free and Taz, Bo and Storm can have fitness down the stretch.

I'm excited about that as well. Whether they are the best depends on who Kentucky signs and who bypasses the NBA.
