As of right now, WE DO NOT HAVE A GREAT QB
LSU doesn't need a great QB. They need a sound QB, which JJ has shown flashes of despite the areas he needs to improve upon.
But many of our past QB's (whether they were great or not is for another debate) didn't have to deal with many of the problems the offense has had to deal with this year.

A good QB makes an average offensive line look good
A good Offensive Line makes an average QB look good
A average QB and an Average Offensive Line make neither look good.
Good thing there is still room for Jefferson to grow and mature because next year's offensive line probably will not be any better. They will be less experienced and losing 2 more players will hurt.
I have said it MANY MANY times 2011 is going to be LSU's year. Everything lines up perfect as many talented underclassmen will have 2/3 years starting experience by then. Our defensive/offensive/LB/secondary/wide receivers will be filled with juniors/seniors who each have multiple years of starting experience. There will be some green areas but not like it will ne next year.
