You cannot compare JJ to true freshmen. That's spin at its finest.

I think he has only started 13 games. 2 last year and 11 this year. He did not play against LA Tech this year.

He was also in the system and has practiced one-half to one year longer.

I'm certainly less than impressed with Jefferson so far but if those dudes you listed had played in the SEC I think Jefferson's stats might surprise even me.

No way those guys faced the competition that Jefferson has seen. That said I wished the dude would smile and look like he was having some fun for once.

Right, flawed comparison. Better one, compare him to Lee.

Attempts 269 - Completions 143 - Int's 16 - 1,873 yards -14 TD's

Give me JJ any day of the week!

You are right...it's better to compare him with SO SEC QB's. He would rank #1 in that comparison and come in 4th overall.

Pryor 144/258 (55.8%) 1828 yds 18 td 10 int 128 rating
Harris 226/377 (59.9%) 3164 yds 23 td 17 int 141.6 rating
Jefferson 169/272 (62.1%) 1964 yds 16 td 6 int 137.8 rating

Keep in mind that Jefferson plays in a significantly better conference than both Pryor and Harris.

Ohio State 10-2
Terrelle Pryor 1828 yds 55.8 cmp 16 td's 10 int's 128 rat
he's rush for 707 yds with 7 td's

Miami Fla. 9-3
Jacoby Harris 3164 yds 59.9 cmp 23 Td's 17 int's 141.6 rat
Team rushing for 1733 yds . Jacory Harris has -218 yds rushing which means he takes a lot of sacks

I love it when people compare stats like they are the end all. I guess leadership ability, confidence, intelligence, on the field management, the ability to put the game on your shoulders, mental and physical toughness, ball handling, ability to read defenses, etc. don't matter. Does JJ have any of these qualities? Maybe i'm old school but the quarterback needs to be more than a guy who can put up numbers to be successful.

The thing that sticks out is the lack of a running game which points to our crappy O-Line coach and some of the present starters. When you gain only 30 yds on 31 attempts, you have a major problem with your O-LINE.

JJ has also played the nastiest defenses in the country week after week.

You have a point...stats are only one tool of many we all use.

What JJ did do this yr was to improve our team, result wise, from last yr and for that, I thank him.
