We lose 100 games.

I was very confident going into that game, but was shocked after a few minutes. Even though the score was close at that point, watching how much superior UConn's athletes were to ours told me what the final outcome would be.

LSU can improve a lot this season of course. I just don't think that Trent will ever get this group of players to compete with UConn.

I would say a team like UConn, but I'm hoping there are no others out there.

It was kind of sad for me when I realized how overmatched the Tigers were. Guess I had my P&G glasses on.

Coach em up Trent.

It's going to take a few years to get this program on the level with that of UConn.

I would draw the comparison of their football team playing our football team 100 times, but then I thought about La Tech.

I agree 100%. Coaching is not an issue. We need to get the personnel and DEPTH.

I wouldn't get too high or too low after any game this early in the season. Do you remember when Utah absolutely thrashed LSU in early January last year? Once Storm Warren picked up his first foul ten seconds into the game, I had a feeling it was going to be a long night. Kinsley logging significant minutes tells you all you need to know about the depth of this team. Thankfully LSU will have plenty of help on the way next year. I was getting worried about expectations after some of the stuff I read on here after beating WKU. Anyway, they need to put this loss behind them and beat ASU tomorrow!

Well, Dyson looks like he broke out of his shooting slump. Once Harris and Warren were put on the bench, we couldn't do anything in the post. Then we couldn't hit shots so they filled the lane so we couldn't get to the basket. Taz had about as bad a game as I've ever seen from him and Dotson doesn't do anything on the court. I mean, when a walk on is playing better than a 4 star SG then I don't know what to say.

I was sitting behind the LSU bench last night in the Garden. They are VERY small.

Unfortunately that walk-on is playing better than several scholarship players. Tomorrow should be interesting...

definitely. He might be playing his way into more minutes. I was impressed with Ludwig after he got acclimated to the game.

I'm keeping the attitude of "remember what happened after Utah last year" But I'll readily admit, UCONN absolutely towered over us in every phase last night from sheer size, athleticism to hustle. Good thing about hoops, is it's a long season and one game won't ruin a season.

yep. after a while I was just watching to see what some of these inexperienced guys could do. I mean, I don't think they quit or were outcoached or anything. UConn is just in a different league than LSU right now. They might have had a case of stage fright too.

UCONN's started 3 guys 6'10+

13 blocks UCONN is definitely in another league right now, but I feel we can improve as the season progresses. I wonder when the light is going come on for Dotson.

What kind of help are we getting? Is it going to be just better depth in our lineup or do you think there will be an impact player?

10 rated class as well as the eligibility of Center Malcolm White from Ole Miss. We could really use him this year.

Kinda reminds me of the 2006 UCONN team, ridiculously talented and athletic but very inconsistent and unpredictable.

Their first 3 games against team not as good as us were very unimpressive.

I think the foul trouble that I imagine convinced Trent to go to zone hastened our demise. We had no shot at defending or rebounding in that zone and when Ludwig is playing 22 minutes and Green 13 that ain't good against those Gazelle's.

I also think Bo needs a sit down. I think he's playing way too selfishly and recklessly, especially for supposedly being one of our leaders.

Dotson has to get it going. I know just before the season he felt about 80% coming off his injury. Hopefully these tough games pays off for him and the rest of the team come SEC time. That Final 4 team was like 8-6 OOC in 2005-2006. Just sayin.

I gotta admit I am not expecting much out of Dotson this year. Down the line...yes. This year no.

Anything we get from him will be gravy in my book.

However, I think we'll get more from Warren and Harris than I expected. And I actually think Kinsley ain't a bad 5-10 minute guy off the bench...I'd say better than Farrer and certainly looks to be better than either Ludwig or Green insofar as contributing significantly.

Sorry but based on the UCONN game he looked horrible, I know he wasn't blessed with great jumping ability, but theres no excuse for not blocking out on rebounds.
