I am a die hard bama fan but enjoy coming on here, listening and reading mostly. Many on here have great football insight and knowledge...so i come as an encourager not an enemy.

what happened saturday is sad. miles was unprepared for the success of the pass from jj. it caught all of us off guard. the storm surrounding miles and the program will pass shortly. a big win against arky will speed up the process, if not it could be a long winter for miles.

I've taken up for Miles since he got here, and supported him unconditionally. But to be honest with you, at this point, I don't care if he stays or goes. This year has disgusted me. It's not the record, it's the performance of the team. The lack of discipline (no excuse for the stupid penalties this late in the season), the inability to move the ball, hell the inability to get into any kind of rhythm offensively, the play calling, everything.

Im not saying LSU is the most talented team in the country but, they're talented enough to move the ball on the teams we play. We couldn't move the ball consistantly against UL or La Tech, and that, is totally unacceptable. Im sick of it.

I agree. Bottom line: this time next year we'll have an answer. He'll either have righted the ship or we'll be talking about who will.

I think he has next year to put it together. what is the most games he can lose next year and still keep his job - 2,3,or 4?

yall knew deep down in your hearts shula was never the answer, even when he went to the cotton bowl... the faster we are rid of miles the faster we can get back to elite level.

"Never take advice from your adversary." - Me.

Gumps fired Mike Shula (one of their OWN) just one year after a 10 win season. Gumps want LSU to keep Miles and have LSU fans be satisfied with "2, 3, or 4" loss seasons.

Gumps fear LSU with a top-notch coach.

Look what we've done with a mentally-challenged one.

you're right. 98% of us knew shula wasn't prepared to coach in the sec. those days where really sad. however, my son and I have admired the guts of coach miles since he's been there, however, i've questioned many of his decisions. here is my assessment: i think he is a good coach, but not the coach lsu needs. y'all have talent, the state is rich with a fresh pool of high school studs, but he seems to have difficulty coaching them up. lsu has made it to the top and needs the guy to keep them there.

thank you for trying to be a nice person; but this is about our football team and LSU has the talent and can only loose more by keeping L.M. longer than you want us to. We may go and rant and point and tease but we respect your team and program. But, "we don't have the need" for the Gladys Kavets of the SEC or Al Bama peeping in our windows. Your 'Red Elephant Club' wouldn't allow that to happen. It is called staying competitive, so Adios! It will pass as soon as we pay this man off and get on with the business in mind to wupp you'lls arse next season. $$$$$$$$ is the answer and if TAF and the LSU A.D. don't feel our "WANT" to get rid of the source of the problem, then we won't meet our deadline. Thus instead of inflicting the arse Whuppin, we will incur them! We asure you that it is not our "WANT" you know you are just Al Bama to us, huh?

Until we are committed enough to winning to whack a prominent booster and contributor to LSU we won't compete with Bama. Unless LSU is willing and ready to match that level of ruthlessness Bama will have the upper hand.

That's the core of the problem...PASS! Why PASS when they did and why not when they didn't.

You can see what Urban Meyer did for us when Zook just couldnt get it done...I liked Zook and he was a great recruiter...but just lacked that edge...that focus. When you see Saban and Meyer on the sidelines you see a fire and a passion deep within and total focus and preparation...nothing is left to chance. UF has a great staff that helps Meyers gameplan and share his vision.
LSU has had some really great recruiting classes with La/Miss & Texas players in the fold. No reason to be down two years in a row....three years? No way.

But will the Gumps be satisified with great regular seasons and losses in the bowl games because they won't win the big games that count under Saban.

But according to Miles, Jefferson will be one of the top QBs in college football next year...

With all due respect to that lunatic he never will be. JJ is great kid and model player but you can tell something about the great ones. I'm not saying he doesn't have moxie but great? I don't think so.

saban builds a winner in what? two years? how? because he coaches with passion..he wants it and relays this to his players. Miles just wants to not lose and he relays this to our players and thats the difference. All coaches will lose some games and thats not that important, but how you lose is!
