I'm so tired of you arm chair qbs talkin about how shitty a qb JJ is. He has 1 yr of exp. All you rantards act like he hasnt improved over the course of the season. You all want him taken out for a series or two. And bring in who? i know he doesnt have the best pocket awareness but when the hell does the oline give him a pocket. Yesturday ole miss rushed 3 and got to him in 1.4 seconds. We have absolutely no run game and the backer and dline pin thier ears back. You people are idiots if you cant see improvement from our qb position over the season.dumbass callin for garrett to start next yr. Ha ha. Yeah for the 3rd straight yr lets start a rookie in the sec. Brilliant. Now you little bitches go ahead and cus me all you want but jj will be a good qb and the only fanbase that cant see that is lsu fans. All i hear from other fanbases is how jj will be a stud with another yr. I would say he is a damn good first yr starter in the best defensive league in cfb. Grow up

posts are more effective when they include proper grammar and punctuation.

I think he has gotten better though.

JJ just doesn't look comfortable being under center. his dropbacks are slow and he has trouble reading defenses once he dropbacks.

To be fair, he hasn't gotten much protection this year.

true but these great coaches of ours can play a style that suits the qb. He is a spread qb.

JJ has a LONG way to go. What he needs is proper coaching. He obviously hasn't had any.

JJ has a boatload of talent, needs someone to work with him on his awareness, game IQ. LSU needs a competent QB coach.

His decision making in throwing away the ball when no one is open shows that he has been instructed to not repeat the mistakes of Lee last year. His accuracy isn't there and he does hold the ball too long in certain situations when he's trying to make something happen. Seems like the type of mistakes a sophomore QB will do from time to time even with good coaching.

also it would help to establish the run first so JJ doesn't have to worry about ends blowing off the edges every play.

Yes, sometimes they call a pass play that has little chance of being completed. Other times JJ throws the ball into the ground. In some other instances the receivers drop balls thrown right into their chest plates.

I'm starting to think that we really don't have a complete QB on our roster until you get 4 deep and that's only because I haven't seen the new kid throw yet. Maybe he isn't a complete QB.

I wish they'd completely scrap that entire section of the playbook. It makes my blood pressure go sky high every time I see us run it for a 2 yard loss.

I live in Japan so I don't always get to watch all the games. Have they ever run it with Sheppard?

I bet they have the fake double reverse in there too that works so well.
