..i know it would take a miracle game but any chance Bastrop pulls off the upset? I know Franklinton is the #1 seed but haven't heard much about them. Strenths? Weaknesses? What should Bastrop look for this week?

I wouldn't be surprised if Bastrop gives them a game. After the Neville game which they were a clusterfrick offensively they simplified things. They have plenty of talent still and they got their best reciever back after the Neville game. They have since scored 60+ and 32. Those were against West Ouachita and Deridder but those teams aren't any different than most of the ones Franklinton played. Bastrop gets them at home which is a tough place to play if the fans show up and are into the game.

Not in a cocky way but in a realistic way, yes it would take alot to happen for bastrop to knock us off. But it is not impossible. I feel that our kids understand that as well and will treat bastrop as a legitament threat and stay focused. Franklinton has a very wide open offense and spreads the ball around very well. You can't just take one thing away and try to stop this offense. Our strongest player on the offensive side of the ball is our qb #7 Terrance magee. He is being recruited as a D1 rb but make no mistake...he can make all the throws! The d is very physical and really looks to hit teams in the mouth, but I do think a good team could throw it on us a little bit. We have had a problem recently with converting extra points..As far as fans; we travel well and will pack your away side...I guess that's about it...btw a buddy and I are leaving Thursday night to stay with a friend in Monroe..what time should we get to the stadium Friday? We'd like to come hang out a little bit with you bastrop folk...

Definately gonna be there. Half the town is gonna be there. Schools in town (Primary - High School) are letting out early. Were gonna have alot of people there. As far as the game I just hope FHS can stop the Bastrop passing attack, if we can we will bring home a W. Can't wait for a competetive game. Go DEMONS!!!

After watching that film, and assuming that Lutcher meets Franklinton in the dome, Lutcher will have their hands full. I'm not sure if we can stop Franklinton's offense. Probably would be a high scoring game, but I'd have to give the nod to Franklinton.

WOW, I grew up near Franklinton and it AMAZES me to hear Bastro of all teams being an Underdog to Franklinton.

Good luck Demons!! Great team over the past few years, hope they make it to the DOME!!

I just want to see some competition. We've blown out 10 of 11 games this season. The only team that played us was Salmen. I really don't want to drive four hours to see a blowout.

Let's not get too overconfident!!

I can remember that SAME Bastrop team driving down to a Sam Houston team before they made their terrific run. They were supposed to man handle the Broncos but got it handed to them by a couple scores!

If bastrop plays up to their potential like they have a few times this year i will expect this to be a tough competitive game but if they dont show up and commit stupid penalties and turnovers like they have numerous times this year it will be a long night. Hopefully we show up ready to play and give you guys a game!!

How big is Bastrops stadium? Just wondering how soon I need to get there for a seat and if I'll have to park five miles away. Just concerned cause I've been to alot of high school games and have on occasion walked a mile to the stadium and had to stand against the fence the whole game.

I would suggest getting there around 5:45 or so. The stadium is more than a decent size so finding a place to sit shouldnt be a problem. Parking is ok not great and i highly doubt you would have to walk more than a mile to get to the stadium if you arrive early enough.

My old high school team lost to Franklinton this year. Amite is in the playoffs and ranked 6th, I think and Franklinton outplayed them the whole game. I would be shocked if Franklinton did not make it to the dome.

With them being the #1 seed i think almost everybody would be shocked if they didnt make it do the dome. But thats why they play the game on the field. Im sure most would agree it would take a miracle game by bastrop but ive seen stranger things happen .... btw im not predicting a win by any means.
