Not up to speed on the defensive end per Scott so he is inactive....they can only suit up 12 and he's been inactive every game so far.

is that the truth or are you just being sarcastic?

they say he can't play defense at all
Posted on 11/1/09 at 7:24 pm to tigerskin
he cant be any worse on defense then MoPete or Devin Brown...

Hornets' biggest problem right now is on defense, and Marcus isn't there yet on rotations apparently. Hornets' offense is struggling a bit too, but their defense is of more concern right now.

Scott's history with young player you have to wonder if he will play. Because Mo Pete & Bobby Brown is terrible

Posted on 11/1/09 at 7:30 pm to Dr Pepper
he isn't playing because Scott is a crappy coach who doesn't play young players
Posted on 11/1/09 at 7:45 pm to Dr Pepper

Who is this Thorton guy?

Everyone else hit it on the head, but Thornton just ain't going to play this year because Byron Scott is such a jackass when dealing with younger players. This is the same guy who buried Brandon Bass and J.R. Smith, two players the Hornets would kill to have now. Hornets will never be a real contender with Byron Scott because he can't develop young talent and the Hornets are not going to sign some mega free agent. Sort of a catch-22 in that the only way the Hornets could be great is through player development, and they have a coach who is too stubborn to develop young players.

BINGO we have a winner!!!
What sucks even more is watching rookies playing at high levels all around the league. Scott is a BIG KNUCKLE head when it comes to this and it is apparent with the trend that he has set over the years... Bobby "My Perogative" Brown has looked terrible in three games. He can't go nowhere but up. Thornton has to be better than this dude and Mo Pete. Don't give me this defense bullshite because Peja has not played a lick of defense in two years. Who is worst defender on the team than him...
