There's only one way i can see the Sugar Bowl picking LSU over Bama this year. If LSU beats Bama but then drops another (and only one) game to cede the west to Bama anyway
Assume Bama loses to Florida (because if Florida lost I think they likely go to the Sugar Bowl) and then you have a 2 loss bama team that went to teh sugar bowl last year vs a 2 loss LSU team that went to the sugar bowl two years ago... they probably take LSU over Bama in that unlikely scenario
