No, they are pretty accurate. Unfortunately.... they are tickets sold rather than actual people there. Thus they claim attendance based on the number of seats/tickets sold.

Almost all schools do it. The problem at LSU is that people buy season tickets and try to come for a game or two. While I appreciate their willingness to buy all the tickets to just make 2 or so of them, there are tons of people on the waitlist that will attend every game. This hurts our actual attendance.

Well, yes they're 'accurate' in the sense that the stadium probably is always around 90% full. In terms of actually differentiating per game to the point of saying "this game is #8", they're just totally bullshite.
