Hey how about this genius idea. Put the QB under center. Make Florida at least defend the run and the pass. How about better routes. If we really can't hold blocks long enough to freeze linebackers on a PA pass.. maybe a roll out. The play was a shitty designed play to the core.

How about 5 games into the season and the no huddle is clearly not working we get our QB in a huddle where its a hell of a big boost in many more ways than one..

Besides the initial flaws in play design. How would you have him pick up the first down the way the play unfolded.. Maybe he could throw it to a jammed up a receiver... nope.. maybe he could throw it to the back on the delay route... nope... maybe he can run it... not with those two line backers looking him in the face and the lineman coming from behind..

That'll give JJ at least 5-7 seconds to make a decision and hopefully make a play

Btw if Crowton ever thought that, he sucks more than I ever thought he did. JJ actually had closer to 2.5-3 seconds... 3 seconds is all you should ever count on as an OC.

Again, those plays had been tried throughout the game and were largely unsuccessful. We weren't fooling them with being under center at all. Did you even watch the game? JJ would only have like 3 seconds to do his progressions when we lined up under center. The rollout had failed to work cause the DEs were breaking off their blocks so fast that JJ never had a chance to do anything. Also, on that 4th and 1 play, UF only rushed 3, not 5 or 6 and that's why people were covered. After a few seconds had passed and the LBs saw JJ running out of options, that's when they rushed up and put extra pressure on him.
