I was one of Jarret Lee's biggest defenders last year. I think he got the all time bad rap because he took the blame for making mistakes when no one was helping him to avoid making the same mistakes in the future. He kept being put in the same position over and over where he was set up to fail.

So now, after it appears that the same thing is happening with JJ, why does anyone think it will be any different with Lee?

The bottom line is, it doesn't matter who our QB is if the play calling isn't putting that player in positions that he is comfortable with and running plays that he is able to execute.

So everyone needs to get off of JJ, a very talented QB with a lot of potential who is clearly regressing before our eyes from the playmaker he appeared to be last year.

I will openly admit I was calling to crucify Lee last year. Looking back, I think some of it was that our defense put him in positions AT TIMES to where he felt like he had to force something. I think Lee, with this year's D, would feel more like he could just play and not have to create something out of nothing. Do I think now that he's the answer? No. Do I think his int's get cut in half? Yes. He could be a spark for the offense, or he oculd be more of the same. As much as I hated him last year, he deserves another shot more than our other qb's

It's not the same thing though. An anomalous amount of pick 6's that still scored a lot for us is not the same of the anemic offense we have now. I'd rather take my chances that Lee has gotten better, because it is clear that JJ is not getting it done at all.
