Not sure about Meyer, but Saban has always impressed me with pushing his players more during the off season than most college coaches. A lot of our players physically looked like NFL players in college and LSU rarely looked like the tired team in the 4th quarter under Saban

speaking eloquence.
good communication skills conveys to your audience, confidence, you know what the hell you are doing.
i enjoy the hell out of listening to coach saban's radio show on wednesdays.
i was at walk-on's for Les' first ever radio show....he bored the crap out of us.
i'm not saying he is a bad coach, but when he speaks he really does come off as a doofus. miles really isn't that bad of a coach...but it's brutal to hear him talk.
i remember sometimes at the end of Saban's radio shows he'd hype the crowd up. Les was kind of put on the spot last week on his show, about giving a pep talk to the fans....and he couldn't deliver.

I think it's a grass-is-always greener thing, like how you miss your ex-girlfriend that you didn't really like that much at the time. But Saban's players got roasted just like everybody else, which is why his bowl record wasn't that good. Hell, you remember Utah, right? Iowa? Texas?
