Example-the triple option has 2 other parts that we never use-a pass or a hand off to a back other than the pitch back. It helps keep the safeties and cornerbacks honest. I've never seen us do either.

Good point!
I've been saying this all season! Plus if the opposing team’s linebackers/linemen have to pause for one split second (because of a misdirection, or the threat of the pass or even Shep god forbid handing the ball off to trendon) then trendon, shep, or KW will be by them and into the secondary in a flash.
This team has the talent, just lacks ingenuity in play calling. The coaching should be set up to compliment the players, not the other way around! And this has been happening for some time now,,, and it's unfortunate!
Coaching Sucks on Offense!!!

Or how about this. FL lined up with Tebow and 2 running backs frequently. So, let's line up with Scott at fullback, KW at half back, Dixon and Lafell on the option side. Randle or Tolliver on the other side. And now let's really run the triple option. You want to load the middle up for Scott-we'll we're going outside. You want to commit your linebackers to the run-then Dixon will eat you alive on short routes. You want to commit your safeties to the run, then have fun covering our wide receivers one-on-one. And if we do plow Scott up the middle, I think he'll do better when the defense doesn't know he's coming.

All those plays won't succeed, but, with our talent, it gives the defense a lot to think about. You're right-the offensive coaching ain't too hot this year.
