I agree with much of what was said, but it is not the actual wedding but the writing that is hurting the show.
They have turned Jim from a prankster to a responsible dad. This is what has hurt the show, not a lack of sexual tension.
I thought Jim and Pam were a cute couple, but it was their hijinks that were fun to watch.
I think the main failure was the decision to have Pam pregnant. Now Jim has to grow up. Now he has to stop being a prankster and he has to actually worry about paper sales.
Look at it this way. If Jim and Pam were not a couple, but he was still turning into Mr. Responsible, the show would still be dull.

I agree, but people are lazy and just point to them getting together as the reason for the show declining.
