re: why are we signing 4 safetys this year?

For some reason, there are people who think that we will lose Toliver, Jones, and even Nevis when far more accomplished guys have repeatedly come back to improve their spots in the draft.

Drew, here are the breakdowns by position.
Cornerback: Ronnie Vinson and Tyrann Mathieu
Safety: Eric Reid and possibly Tharold Simon and Sam Gibson
Linebacker: DJ Welter, Luke Muncie, and possibly Maclin or Bates
In other words, we will probably have 2 CBs, 2 safeties, and 3 linebackers.
DL is a little bit hazier, but Allen, Blackmon, and at least one of Maclin or Bates will be playing on there. I also think that we will be adding one more DT. Richard Ash or Cassius Marsh could be a possibility.
