with Jefferson and C Scott?

Im not doggin the coaches or anything just having a conversation.

Do yall think it would be more appropriate to run it with Shepard as QB and trindon as the pitch man?

Jefferson is more of a pocket passer IMO and isnt really built so much for the option

Your thoughts?

They need more seperation for it to work. The q.b. and running back are too close for the pitch to have any effect.

JJ is not an option QB. But the man has a great arm and when he learns to read blitzes wow. But Speherd is the real deal.

Will it come down to us playing the spread with Shepherd fulltime and JJ in passing situations?

JJ seems unsure of himself on the option, maybe more practice, that play almost looks like its in slow motion

it looks to me like the option is the go-to call on plays where Crowton doesn't like the matchup. It's not a bad call, but JJ is not a good runner of the option.

JJ, before he pitches it, needs to step and fake in to draw the defender to him. he wasnt doin that at all before his pitches. the defender doesnt get drawn in at all

I dont want to see them run option without Keiland. Maybe teach Shepard how to run it with Keiland and it would be nice. That was the one thing that I really liked with RP. He ran a nice option with Keiland. Hasnt been that great since.

I think it should be Shep and KW/ Scott.

On another note, I was happy to see Shep get to run some zone read (an option that JJ is actually decent with), he was good on his ballhandling.

They need more seperation and a better angle on the play. More times than not one GA defender could play both guys.

JJ does not run option worth a damn. He needs to take it up field if he is gona keep it,,too much east-west running.

Our QB doesnt know how to run it effectively.
Abandon the option unless Shepard is running it.

Bottom line JJ does not understand the option. QB needs to huge the line more. he makes it easy for one man to cover two. Stop running it with him.

When Jordan actually tucks the ball in and takes off running, he looks pretty good running the ball.

When he runs the option, it just looks really slow and akward.

The option in itself was unimpressive. But we ran it in the first half and dominated possession. Didn't run it in the second half and offense fell flat. Seems we used it well to set up the rest of the offense? Just a different perspective.
