Sanford Stadium- What's it all about?

Georgia fans or Tigers who have been there- what is Sanford stadium like? I know that the UGA's must get pretty rowdy since they are passionate too, but is it comparable to Death Valley or the Swamp? Do they serve sushi? Any urine bombs to watch out for? How are the facilities?
whatcha got?

nice low key stadium/ great bars within walking distance...drunks on railroad tracks

They are just as bad as we are to opposing fans...stadium is ok, upper decks smaller but wrap around in a horseshoe, the campus is hilly as hell, not as many good tailgate areas, and town is small.

Yes, I was there too
We caught some stuff from their fans, but not too bad overall. We all have a-holes in our bases, unfortunately.

Great fans and very nice game day experience. An a-hole every now then. They probably have 1 a-hole fan to our 3.
Not a very loud stadium compared to the numbers. Nice stadium to watch an SEC game. Nice college town/streets close to the campus and stadium with plenty of places to eat. Go early and enjoy the day.

The fans are great before the game. The tailgaiting was spread out all over the place so no real continuity. The street on one end over looks the stadium and that is neat.
Watch out after the game. If the way they treated us leaving the highest area of the stadium after kicking out butts in 2004 was any indication of their attitude (mostly students) I would hate to see what would happen after a loss to us!

Its the worst stadium in the sec because it faces east west. The sun is a a pain in the arse.

The adult fans are good. The frats are obnoxious.
When UGA wins, they send their pledges to harass the visitors in mass.

Then that won't be a problem on Saturday..Tigahs 34-31.

1. Great stadium setting in the middle of campus, capacity 93K+. One end is open with a view to the campus.
2. Not as loud as Tiger Stadium. The noise escapes from the open end, and halk of the seats are held by older fans who just aren't going to scream all game. Good crowd.
3. Lot of talent, I mean lots. Look for the red and balck sundresses, it is impressive.
4. No urine bombs, but some drunk students that are as annoying to us as to you. Stay with your fans, or among our "normal" fans. Just act cool and you will be fine. Every fan base has 1% of their fans they wish would go away, we do too. There will be 100K people around the stadium, only 200 idiots, avoid them and all is well.
5. Get to Athens mid to late morning (elevenish), park downtown have lunch/drinks in the bars and restaurants. Wander across the street and down (really down!) through North Campus toward the stadium. Tailgates are solid all the way, just mix with the folks, they will take care of you with food/drinks. By the bookstore and stadium activity will pick up with the band, Uga, and the Dawg Walk. More tailgates in that area. Allow time to get into the stadium and through security.
6. Sanford does not face West, it just happens to be in the sun at 3:30. Very few seats will have any trouble with the sun, and it is supposed to be very comfortable Saturday. Visitors seat for LSU tickets will be in the NW corner of the field (open end) and in the lower sections near the goal line.
7. After the game stay with your fans and work your way back up the steep hills to downtown which should rock until late in the night.
8. Sanford is a great venue for CFB, everyone loves it, but the food/concessions and bathrooms are really bad. Eat a good lunch and wait until that night to eat again. It isn't worth standing in line for, they even screw up the Cokes. Warning: this isn't Nawlins, do not walk around downtown with a drink, they will lock you up. On campus around the tailgates it is OK to walk with a drink.
Have a great time, it looks to be a close, 4 quarter game!

I went in 04. Stadium is nice and it was loud as hell in their. Before and after the game I was all but crapped though. It was an awful experience.
