Surprising about the 2010 prospects:

The Tigers boast 22 commitments from the 2010 class, including nine state players. LSU had not offered any 2010 prospects from Louisiana at this time last year.

Recruiting in the SEC is going to be hard core for the next few years between LSU, UF, Bama & Tenn you have some major recruiting battles going on.

Yep, the recruiting aspect of CFB is changing right now. Way more guys getting offered very early compared to years past. One thing our coaches have done well is adapt to this and offer guys early like the other schools are doing.

Before this year, no in state prospects were offered before the first junior day (usually in early June, I think). Furthermore, this past class only had 3 or 4 players to get offers at that point.

Probably a combination of the talent level as well as beating other teams to the punch. I mean look at Anthony Johnson. It will be interesting to see how that one plays out.
